Privacy Policy

What this site does — and mostly does not do — with information about you.

Last updated: November 3, 2026 · This page is part of the legal and company silo, with the privacy policy, terms of use, cookie policy, disclaimer and about page.

The short version

byedpi.io is a static information website. It has no user accounts, no comments, no checkout, and no contact form, and it does not ask you for personal information. Reading this site does not require you to give us anything.

Information the site itself collects

The site itself does not run a database of visitors and does not set out to identify you. Like almost every website, the hosting and content-delivery infrastructure that serves these pages will process standard technical information — such as IP address, browser type and requested pages — in server or CDN logs, for the ordinary purposes of delivering the site, preventing abuse and understanding aggregate traffic. We do not sell personal information, because we do not collect it as a product.

Analytics

If the site owner adds an analytics tool in future, this policy will be updated to name it and describe what it measures before or at the time it is used. We will not silently swap this paragraph's meaning.

External links — GitHub and others

Download buttons and references on this site lead to third-party services, principally GitHub. When you follow an external link, that service's own privacy policy applies to anything you do there, including downloading software or creating an account. We do not control GitHub's practices and receive no personal information about you from your downloads.

The ByeDPI software

This policy covers the website, not the software it describes — but for clarity: the ByeDPI Android app states that it collects no data and processes all traffic on the device, and the desktop core is a local proxy. Verify current claims in the official repositories linked from our download page.

Your choices

Because the site sets no account and holds no profile about you, there is nothing to delete or export from us directly. Browser-level controls (blocking cookies, using private windows) remain yours; see the cookie policy. Questions about this policy go through the contact routes.
