Terms of Use

The agreement between you and this site, in plain language.

Last updated: November 3, 2026 · This page is part of the legal and company silo, with the privacy policy, terms of use, cookie policy, disclaimer and about page.

Acceptance

By using byedpi.io you accept these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.

What the content is

The content is general information and editorial opinion about open-source software, provided for educational purposes. It is not professional, legal or security advice for your specific situation, and laws and network policies differ by place and provider. You are responsible for using any tool described here lawfully and in line with the terms of your own network.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse this site: no attempts to disrupt it, misrepresent its content as official developer material, or present our editorial scores as the developers' claims. When quoting us, attribute and link.

Intellectual property

The text and design of this site are the site owner's, except for third-party names and marks, which belong to their owners. ByeDPI, GitHub and other product names are used descriptively. The ByeDPI core is MIT-licensed and the Android app GPL-3.0; those licenses, held by their developers, govern the software — not these terms, and not us. Republishing whole guides from this site without permission is not allowed; short attributed quotations are fine.

Accuracy and liability

We work to keep information accurate against primary sources, as described on the about page, but we do not warrant that every page is complete or current at the moment you read it. Software changes; providers change faster. To the extent permitted by law, the site is provided "as is" and we are not liable for outcomes from following a guide — check the disclaimer for the fuller statement.

Changes

These terms may be updated; the date at the top of the legal pages will change when they are. Continued use after a change is acceptance of the updated terms.
